Bio: SpikeswenchSpikeswench, born of an ill fated love between a Norwegian fisherman and a beluga whale, washed ashore in South Eastern Australia sometime during 1983. A pair of devout Catholics enjoying a spot of beachside prayer discovered and adopted her, later christening her Gertrude, after St Gertrude of Nivelles, the patron Saint of the mentally ill and recently deceased. After the tragic demise of her elderly adoptive parents she experimented with Marxist ideologies; this led to the casting off of her Christian name and an insistence on being called Comrade. Eventually her love of silk stockings, Fred Astaire and television resulted in an abandonment of Marx and the pursuit of hedonism. Hedonism continues to outrun her but she persists nonetheless. Nowadays, she places little importance on names but will gladly answer to Spikeswench (especially if you're prepared to yell loudly and wait patiently). |
